Angles for May 8th, the 14th Hour.

I haven’t done any angles in forever, but I was compelled to look at a chart of This Moment, around a quarter past two. This is what I found:

may8th14thhourangles

Just beautiful, isn’t it?

Here, at the fourteenth hour, the moon casts reflections, and the archer draws the bow string back. Looks like he has 2 arrows, if the tip’s pointing down. Or Saturn the grip of his hand on the bow, and mars the arrow about to fly. Funny the arrow’s tip in sag. His aim comes from the moon, Jupiter and Neptune the bow’s ends. I haven’t looked at any angles in a long time, and this moment’s are striking. The triple earth trine is lovely, the dynamic squares are deeply felt.

Three of the squares’ planets in two places are retrograde, creating powerful echoes. The four-cornered square is impressive, but the Moon is only casting reflections on her way by, leaving a triad of squares, the arrow having left the bow, still in the archer’s hand. Current reality may be in opposition to one’s dreams, or wishes? (Jupiter opp. Neptune), but it’s certainly not dull, with movement (sign sag.) in both immediate actions(mars), and the long term(Saturn).

The triple trine is felt as the spirit behind the action, the person behind the bow.. and also a harmony with the springtime earth. The triad of sunny planets in Taurus really gathers earthy strength. Each of the triad’s corners have a planet in retrograde. There are an even more impressively symmetrical distribution of powerful echoes in the archer, than in her bow. But it’s not as easy to recognize the harmony of a trine as to notice the pushy, dynamic square.

Jupiter is the archer’s head. At which the red lines of tension or activation and the blue of harmony meet. That’s a serious amount of pressure, even for such a large gas giant.

Uranus touches both major dynamic angular systems, sending a bit of discord into the triple trines via Pluto, and a bit of harmony into the three squares via Saturn. Very strange. As usual. shedding a bit of light for a different perspective.

Chiron stands at the dream’s (Neptune) right shoulder, but isn’t really involved. Just a passing brush with mercury incase he needs to speak. amusing, you.

Cometary Passengers

Ison. I like how it is blue and red. I like how there was a crop circle of it. They know. Whoever makes the crop circles.

There is a passenger aboard Ison. Only one? I don’t know. They aren’t here for me, this is not my comet. But it’s energy is quite distracting to me anyway. I can tell there’s someone on it. And, this comet’s never been in this neighborhood before… so, who and/or what is riding on that iceball?

I can tell it’s occupied, because Hyakutake (1 of 2) had a passenger who disembarked for me. From the last time it was passing through; circa Upper Paleolithic, about 15,000 bc. A hunter/shaman who always finds his Arrows.

A whole bunch of passengers jumped aboard Hale-Bopp (2 of 2) as it approached our Sun this last time ’round. They seemed to be unsane to us, a spaceship hiding behind a comet, c’mon! But what if a comet itself is a kind of spaceship? Ice is crystalline, could a soul not find a place in it’s angles to sleep; hitch a wild ride? Ice, freezing what’s within until a star’s warmth unlocks it. It’s been said that comets seed the heavens with life, traveling between star systems with their water. And if microbes and spores can hitch a ride in that ice, why not also souls?

Yet those who hitch a ride on these cosmic trains come back changed. They’ll never be the same again, so long in the ice, out in the Emptiness.. And once a star’s warmth warms them again they radiate electrically flowing starshine, and stink of Mystery.

Ison. This one’s name sounds like it could as easily be a subatomic particle, along with the Kaons and the Bosons. And Ison has been in deep space all this time, out in the Void. So empty, you get to know the careening dance of the subatomic particles all around you. All the Stars so distant, which one is closest from here? Where to go next? Cannot tell.

And the starseed that sleeps within? When it’s finally warmed by our sun into incarnation, finds a nice planet again- s/he won’t be anything like whoever jumped on board.

Kissed by Mystery, embraced by Void, and flung into the Star Goddess’ heart- to emerge like a shining mad phoenix- fearless, wise, alien.

Even those returning home from a long time away have a hint of the alien about them, all that time under strange, strong starlight, out in the emptiness of Space…

I like how Hyakutake sounds like it could’ve been a character in an anime- tall and lean, drawn in sharp lines and carrying a cheesy big sword; yet the real danger is in his eyes- fearless, gentle, power-full. And this Arrow recognizes her archer though he is not the same- Touched by the Void, stinking of Mystery, burning brightly for his Fiery Goddess; kissed by the Moon, with scars to show it; electrically charged in blue Flow like the snowball he rode.

And what’ve I got for Hale-bopp? I dunno, it sounds like a rock n’ roll dance. C’mon, everybody do the Hale-Bopp! Maybe those who died in a pile will return ready for a party. Knowing this time ’round, they must celebrate life on this wonderful tiny planet, suspended in so much Space. Maybe they’ll have abandoned the despair that must’ve pushed them all like refugees onto a passing ship in the night.

Return, ready to dance Life’s dance- enough of being Embraced by Nothing, touched by Madness- still stinking of Mystery- ready to dance in the sunlight, on this fragile blessed planet- home again, wise, fearless, gracious- dancing!

Pure Light

Shattered into Colors
Through the prism
Of time and place

Then and now
Red and Moon

It is who one is,
This time ’round
-One color, out of the rainbow
Spirit of Clear Light

From Beyond,
Shaped by each planet,
On his way in

All the way past Saturn
To land
On the Moon

And shine down to Earth
Teacher in the flesh,

Who will you become?

Apollo 13

Copper Moon rises
A thunderstorm beside her

Two fragments meet;
Apollo out in space
A golden shard
off a black mirror
Reflects the comet
as it passes by

Who comes to me through Angles

He takes the place
A Shining Shadow beside me

Such exquisite Golden Black
Ought to be called

comparative musings based on the movie Harvey.

Yes. The man saw a six-foot-three-and-a-half-inch white rabbit. But by the end of the movie, he came off looking the only sane one of the bunch.
Honestly, the first time the concept of ‘harvey’ showed up, I was perplexed. It is a cult-idea which travels the televisionscape since the original movie: I first met the concept ‘harvey’ in Farscape. Very far from earth. This ‘harvey’ was a sortof barely-conquered demon. Then I saw Donny Darko, and the rabbitness almost started to make sence. Time travel is always a plus, and the wormhole theme, which inevitably is not just space travel, but spacetime travel, always seems to figure where the name or idol ‘harvey’ shows up.

And at the end of the original movie, there he is, Harvey can do spacetime travel, it’s just Elwood could never think of a place or time he’d rather be, than right where he was. An infuriatingly pleasant man, and a pooka- a being who could do anything.. but Elwood never asked anything of him, but come and have a drink. No wonder the pooka liked him!

So, what then, is an imaginary friend? Everyone thought Elwood was crazy when he opened the door for someone unseen.. but the doors opened themselves, if he didn’t do it. What would I do, if one day I saw a very tall white rabbit leaning on a lamppost? I would probably also say hello.
And what is a spirit guide or guardian angel? Is it a thoughtpattern planted by some sinister alien, in order to safeguard and unlock some knowledge in yourself, that you don’t know you know? Is it a ripple that goes backwards through spacetime, an echo of a chance to change your own fate, that lets you know the time is approaching? A different sort of being from humans, that have been around for a much longer time? A bigger part of yourself, that can teach and protect you? Usually though, the human organism is neither actively learning nor in danger… so then what? You just, hang out together. Go have a drink. Look for someone to… impress, in the words of Elwood. There is no sorrow or trouble or story bigger than a six foot three and a half inch high white rabbit. And a spirit guide, in idle times yet still strongly present, becomes a sortof imaginary friend. Just, a spirit beside you. Who follows you through the rooms of your life, and maybe would like to have a drink and meet some new people every now and then. . . C’mon, Harvey.

Habitable Planetary Zones

A while back, I watched the National Geographic ‘Journey to the Edge of the Universe’ and it was definitely worth it. Beginning in our own solar system, ending about as far out as can be imagined.. But the most intriguing bits, the thing that got me to thinking the most in that show, were the things they were saying about planets in our own solar system, that seemed to have the biggest connotations to life, out there… or even, in our home system that we don’t know about.

First, take Mars. The planet that’s both easiest to see and get to, and also the one that’s captured the imagination of so many people, filmmakers, writers..  The thought is that, there *used* to be water on Mars; there are valleys and washes, creases in the mountains, but no visible water and only a smidge of ice. But, since they have been photographing Mars for so long now, they have noticed that, over time, these seemingly dead riverbeds have changed subtly. The hypothesis put forth on the show: Subterranean rivers. There’s only a little heat left, deep inside Mars, but somewhere down there, it’s warm, and water is flowing.

Next, Europa. Of Jupiter’s four big moons, it’s the second-closest, and has under an ice-crust, liquid water. There are cracks on the surface, always changing. The immense tidal force from Jupiter creates friction in it’s moons, heat. Io is so close that it’s too hot, continually turning itself inside out, with tides of molten rock.  Ganymede’s too far away, it’s icy surface riddled with craters, dead.

The Earth, in it’s ‘perfect place’, is obvious, exposed, naked to the eye of any being who might be wandering past the solar system. It’s protective covering need only be made of a thin bubble of gases around it, all it’s life right on the top of the planet, basking in the heat of the sun. But the so-called habitable zone of a solar system may be a whole lot bigger than we think. The protective covering of a planet farther out, may be thicker, consist of a different material.. Life that forms under the protective covering of Mars, evolving deep under the insulating layer of ground, closer to the warm core of the planet, may be teeming, evolved even, but utterly undetectable to the eyes of earthlings, who look for life only on the planet’s surface. Maybe life on Mars more resembles creatures who live inside the caves of Earth. And on earth there is teeming life under the polar icecaps- who’s to say that under the icy surface of Europa, the seas are not also teeming with life we cannot see or even imagine, kept warm by the friction of Jupiter’s tidal force- creatures for whom those planets’ surfaces are as irrelevant and inhospitable as if humans tried to live on the upper surface of the Earth’s insulating airs. Compound these possibilities by as many suns, and as many gas giants too, as there are in the galaxy, and the question of alien life becomes more an inevitability. But, it’s not going to show up looking like us, needing only a headband to disguise itself among the humans, like on Star Trek. It’s going to be infinitely diverse and different, unimaginable  and, well, Alien.
